Factory Tour
Each piece of our jewelry starts out as a two-dimensional sketch drawn by a trained jewelry designer. A silver model is made from the drawing by a silversmith model maker. |
The master silver model is placed in between a layer of rubber. The rubber is heated until it surrounds the silver model. Once cooled, the silver model is removed, leaving its impression in the rubber. Hot wax is then injected into the rubber mold, filling the impression left by the silver model. Once cooled, the wax model is removed from the rubber mold and placed on a wax rod. |
A metal canister is placed over the completed wax rod. A special mixture of plaster is then poured into the canister. After the plaster hardens, the canister is placed in an oven. This process burns the wax out from the plaster leaving the impression of the wax model in the plaster. The wax is able to melt out of the flask through a hole in the bottom of the plaster. |

Once the wax has been completely burned out of the plaster canister, the canister is removed from the oven, flipped upside down, and molten gold is poured into the hole. Once the plaster is removed, an exact replica of the wax rod has now been transformed into solid 14k gold. |
Each individual piece is then cut off the rod and sent to the setting and finishing department where it is hand filed and then placed in a large tumbler that smoothes out any imperfections. The stones/diamonds are then set and a final polish takes place resulting in a gleaming piece of jewelry ready to be worn. |
